Zion Light's Story of Self involves the unique identity revolving around his education and upbringing. The explainer seeks to inform readers on the modern precedents of copyright policies in the wake of famous fiction characters entering the Public Domain.
The third assignment consisted of a Profile Interview. Brianna Mungo, a fellow student at UCSB in the BFA program, served as the subject for Zion’s interviews. As close friends from High School, the two share many perspectives and experiences which allows for layers of depth concerning a broader discussion around the arts and civic engagement. Brianna’s journey to and role within the community of Isla Vista and UCSB, as both an “Oracle” and a civically engaged individual makes up the heart of the piece.
The final group project involved the creation of a Think Tank through a large full length proposal. Zion Light contributed to the Opioid Overdose Operation Think Tank Inc. through an Op-Ed piece and an Infographic.
The Infographic concerns Opioid overdose in Utah, specifically the feedback loop involved. The Op-Ed serves to explore real life experiences working with Opioid overdose prevention measures as a security guard for live music events in California.
